AC not working? We offer 24/7 emergency HVAC repair
Signs Your AC Needs Repair
Most air conditioners show signs that something’s wrong well before they completely quit. Catching these early can mean a smaller repair bill and a cooler house through the hottest stretches of Montana’s summer.
If you notice any of the following, give us a call:
Your AC won’t turn on at all
AC blowing warm air or not cooling
Short cycling where the system turns on and off rapidly
Uneven cooling or hot spots from room to room
Water pooling near the indoor unit or ice forming on the coils
Unusual noises like rattling, grinding, or buzzing
Rising energy bills without any change in how you use the system
Burning or musty smells coming from the vents
Air Conditioning Repair
Most AC problems don’t require a completely new system. We diagnose what’s actually wrong, then suggest a practical fix. That may mean repairing or replacing a compressor, blower motor, capacitor, thermostat, condensate drain, evaporator coil, or refrigerant-related component.
Replacement is a last resort, not our first recommendation.
Our technicians handle every diagnosis, so the person looking at your system is the person who’ll fix it. We service AC systems, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits from RUUD, Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, Bryant, York, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, and other major brands for homes and commercial buildings across Southwest Montana.
Most AC repairs in the Bozeman area run $195–$850. We charge a flat diagnostic fee to come out, then provide a written estimate before any repair work begins.
AC Maintenance and Tune-Ups
Regular maintenance is the best way to keep your AC running at full capacity for as long as possible. Fixing small issues during a tune-up is almost always cheaper than waiting for them to turn into a breakdown, especially in the middle of a Montana heat wave.
During a tune-up, we clean the coils, check refrigerant levels, inspect electrical components, test the thermostat and controls, check or replace filters, clear the condensate drain line, and measure airflow and system performance.
Routine maintenance also helps protect the manufacturer’s warranty on newer equipment, improves efficiency, and extends the life of the system you’ve already invested in.
AC tune-ups start at $150. A full-system service starts at $250.
24/7 Emergency AC Repair
Cooling systems tend to break at the worst possible times. We answer emergency AC repair calls 24/7, 365 days a year.
AC Installation and Replacement
When you’re installing AC in your current home, your business, or you’re planning a new build or remodel, we design and install cooling systems sized to the space. New RUUD residential systems come with a 5-year standard warranty and a 10-year warranty when registered. Commercial installations carry a 5-year warranty regardless of equipment type.
Central Air Conditioning
We install RUUD and Midea central AC systems for whole-home cooling that works with your existing ductwork. Each system is sized to your home or building so you get consistent, efficient cooling through the heat of summer.
Heat Pumps
For efficient cooling with built-in heating, a standard or cold-climate heat pump can keep your home or building comfortable through more of the year. We install heat pump systems sized to your space and cooling needs.
Ductless Mini-Splits
Mini-splits work well in spaces without ductwork: additions, basements, garages, shops, and older homes. We install single- and multi-zone systems from brands like Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Midea, Daikin, and Gree.
New Construction
Planning a new build? We design and install full RUUD HVAC systems on new construction projects. See our New Construction & Remodels page for details.

Both cool your home using the same underlying technology, but a heat pump can also provide heating in winter, which a central AC system cannot. For homeowners deciding between the two, the choice usually comes down to whether you want one system handling both seasons or separate equipment for heating and cooling.
-
Most residential AC installations take one to two days, depending on the type of system, whether ductwork is involved, and the condition of the existing setup. We’ll give you a specific timeline during your estimate.

Homeowner’s insurance typically covers AC damage from sudden events like storms or fallen trees, but not wear-and-tear repairs or age-related breakdowns. Check with your insurance provider for specifics.
